In response to this urgent call, Médecins Sans Frontières has launched an intensive training programme in Kenya, where a simulation centre replicates the real conditions of an Ebola treatment centre, allowing medical teams to practice before being sent to the DRC.
The training sessions cover patient care, the safe donning and doffing of personal protective equipment, and disinfection protocols. Each professional confronts realistic scenarios, from initial triage to isolation procedures, to embed life‑saving reflexes.
