On 24 June 2026, the Cameroon Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts (CCIMA) held a meeting with private‑sector representatives to discuss the preparation of the 2027 Finance Law.

The aim of this consultation is to gather, analyse and harmonise the concerns of economic operators before negotiations with the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI).

Discussions focused on improving the national tax framework, enhancing corporate competitiveness and boosting the attractiveness of the business environment.

About twenty proposals were drafted at the end of the session, intended to strengthen public‑private dialogue and promote a tax system better suited to Cameroon's economic realities.

This initiative is crucial for Cameroon's economic development, as it will ensure that the needs and expectations of businesses and economic operators are taken into account.

The proposals put forward by the private sector will be examined by the DGI and could have a significant impact on the 2027 Finance Law.

It should be noted that public‑private dialogue is essential for economic growth and job creation in Cameroon.

Developments are awaited to see how the private‑sector proposals will be incorporated into the 2027 Finance Law.
