On September 4, 2026, in Yaoundé, Lekié FF secured its place in the final phase of the CAF Women's Champions League — a first for a Cameroonian club since the competition was created in 2021.

The UNIFFAC zone tournament (Central Africa) brought together four teams: Lekié FF, Equatorial Guinea's FC 15 de Agosto, AC Colombe, and DR Congo's Football Academy M'Sichana. The Cameroonians opened their campaign with a frustrating 1-1 draw against FC 15 de Agosto, before bouncing back with a crushing 7-0 win over AC Colombe.

In the final matchday, a 0-0 draw against Football Academy M'Sichana was enough to secure first place: with five points, one win and two draws, eight goals scored against just one conceded, Lekié FF finished the tournament unbeaten and topped the group on goal difference.

The competition, launched by CAF in 2021, had never before seen a Cameroonian club reach its final phase. The draw that will determine Lekié FF's opponents had not yet been announced at the time of publication.
