The Board of Directors of the National School of Local Administration (NASLA) met on June 25, 2026 in Yaoundé to review and approve the 2025 financial statements. The meeting allowed a thorough examination of the institution’s revenues and expenditures for the past year.
The figures presented at the meeting reveal the financial situation of NASLA. Revenues amount to 2.376 billion CFA francs, representing 80.55 % of the forecast. Authorized expenditures reach 2.099 billion CFA francs, or 71.18 % of the forecast, while actual payments total 1.525 billion CFA francs, corresponding to 51.69 % of the forecast.
Approving these accounts is a crucial step for the institution, as it ensures transparency and fiscal responsibility. NASLA’s directors were thus able to assess the institution’s financial performance and make informed decisions for the future.
It is worth noting that these numbers are the result of rigorous work and efficient resource management. NASLA plays a pivotal role in training and developing the skills of local administration officers in Cameroon, and sound financial management is essential to maintain the quality of its services.
The implications of this account approval are positive for the institution and its stakeholders. It strengthens confidence in NASLA’s financial management and secures the continuity of its operations. Moreover, it paves the way for new projects and initiatives, as directors can now make strategic decisions based on reliable financial data.
Finally, it is essential to emphasize that transparency and fiscal accountability are fundamental values for any public institution. NASLA sets an example by publishing its accounts and subjecting them to board scrutiny, thereby demonstrating its commitment to good governance and responsible stewardship of public resources.
