The African Union Commission is keeping its internship program open until December 31, 2026, for young graduates and students from its 55 member states — Cameroon is eligible.
The internship takes place at the institution's headquarters in Addis Ababa, for a duration of three months, renewable once based on performance. Eligible applicants include final-year bachelor's students, master's students, or recent graduates aged 22 to 32, proficient in at least one of the African Union's working languages — English, French, Arabic, Portuguese or Kiswahili.
One point not to overlook before applying: the internship is unpaid. The African Union covers neither travel, nor housing, nor living expenses, nor medical insurance for interns.
Applications must be submitted solely through the official portal jobs.au.int ("Internship Program" listing, reference 1506-en_US) or careers.au.int, using the African Union's standard CV template, available in French and English.
