On 12 September 2026, from 6am, the price of fresh pork dropped to 2,900 FCFA per kilo at Nsam market in Yaoundé — one of the brand's outlets, its eleventh. Backed by comedians Moustik le Karismatik, Haricot Beans and Jordane Ngassa, the promotion run by Westend Farms illustrates the company's direct-to-market strategy in the capital: Ngoulmekong, Messassi, Manguier, Essos, Acacia, Damas, Nsam, Odza, Mimboman, Ekoumdoum and Jean Vespa now count among its roughly dozen shops.

That retail footprint is the result of a journey that began more than 40 years ago in Jakiri, in Cameroon's North-West region, where the Manjoh family ran a subsistence livestock farm. Under Julius Manjoh, now CEO, the business grew into a reference for pork production in Cameroon and the CEMAC zone, gradually opening its capital to outside investors to fund its industrialisation.

That industrialisation took shape in October 2021 with the inauguration, by the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, of the integrated pork production and marketing centre in Ndokoa, in the Haute-Sanaga department. The site houses around 11,000 pigs, including 700 sows, across 1.5 hectares, backed by 350 hectares of corn grown for feed. A 650-sow parent farm supplies piglets, alongside fattening farms and a grandparent herd for F1 genetic material — an integrated chain running from pig genetics to wholesale and retail sales.
On that front, Westend Farms points to on-site animal feed production and health monitoring of its herds as guarantees of traceability for consumers.
