After Cameroon and Benin, the Central African Republic. Bange, Equatorial Guinea's public bank, continues its CEMAC expansion: a delegation led by chairman Martin Crisanto Ebe Mba was received on August 19, 2026 by the CAR's finance minister, a first step before a technical mission studies the conditions for setting up in Bangui.
Bange already operates in Equatorial Guinea, Spain, Cameroon since 2021, and Benin since 2023. Its Cameroonian subsidiary, with nine branches, plans to open six more in 2026, reaching a network of fifteen branches by 2027.
For the bank, the CAR represents an additional foothold in a CEMAC zone where banking competition is intensifying, driven by several regional players' ambitions to expand across borders.
