Cameroon are the second most successful side in Africa Cup of Nations history, with five titles — behind only Egypt, the competition's record holder with seven. The Indomitable Lions' triumphs came in 1984, 1988, 2000, 2002 and 2017.
None of those five titles was won on home soil. Cameroon lifted the trophy in Ivory Coast, Morocco, Ghana, Mali and then Gabon — never on its own turf, even though the country has hosted the tournament twice, in 1972 and 2021, without ever winning it.
