André-Frank Zambo Anguissa is staying at Napoli. The club has triggered the extension option in the Cameroonian midfielder's contract, tying him to the club until 2028.
Signed from Fulham in 2021, the 28-year-old has become a mainstay of Napoli's midfield, playing 34 matches across all competitions last season. That consistency fended off interest from Atalanta, who had made moves during the summer transfer window.
For Napoli, Italian champions in 2023, keeping such a complete midfielder is a choice for continuity heading into a new Serie A and Champions League campaign.
For Cameroon, the extension reinforces a key player for the Indomitable Lions ahead of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers, giving Zambo Anguissa the stability and rhythm of a regular starter at a major European club.
