Stéphane Noumbissie is discovering professional football far from France. The 19-year-old Cameroonian defender, developed at LOSC, has been loaned for the entire 2026-2027 season to Czech club SK Sigma Olomouc, with a buy option including a resale percentage.
Joining Lille in January 2025, the left-back quickly established himself as a regular starter for the reserve team, playing 22 matches in National 3 — France's fifth division — during the 2025-2026 season, while also training several times with the first team.
The loan, confirmed in late June 2026, is meant to give him something LOSC couldn't yet offer: regular playing time at professional level, away from the competition of a Ligue 1 squad.
His first appearance in Czech colors, in early July 2026, came with an enthusiastic message from the player. But the adjustment wasn't immediate: his first league matches in early August proved tougher than hoped.
A Cameroon U23 international, Noumbissie belongs to a generation of young French-trained defenders using loan spells to build the professional experience they still lack to establish themselves at a higher level.
The buy option attached to his loan makes expectations clear: if his Czech season confirms his potential, Lille may well have temporarily let go of one of its most promising prospects at the position.
